The first 8 GB of DDR2-667 Registered DIMM from Apacer

72944According to the Taiwanese company Apacer Technology, she became the first manufacturer of memory, submitting register DDR2- modules (Registered DIMM) 8 GB. New strips are classified as DDR2-667 CL5 (PC2- 5300) with a hardware error correction (ECC) and are designed for high-performance workstations and servers built on AMD Opteron processors. Prior to the 8- GB range products manufacturer with many years experience in the server market led the 4- GB DDR2-667 ECC Registered DIMM. For servers on Intel Xeon processors are the most intensive, fully buffered (FB-DIMM) modules DDR2-667/533 4 GB, which we described in our news.

New strip from Apacer is based on carefully selected DRAM- chips with the organization 256Mx4, issued by Elpida Memory, using the norms of the 70- nm process technology. These devices have allowed to create innovative products that combine high capacity, efficiency, stability and reliability. Before leaving the factory premises, the RAM from the Taiwanese manufacturer is set rigorous tests, including in conditions close to real work. In addition, the manufactured products are subjected to various tests for resistance to an external electrical, mechanical and thermal effects. Press- service of the company emphasizes that its memory modules certified laboratory CMTL (Computer Testing Labs).
